Polar Bears Will Thank You

Back at the Business Expo a few weeks ago, a few booths down there was some kind of electrical business which had a sign that read "Polar Bears Will Thank You".

Likely they were talking about the lower carbon emissions due to their products, thus reducing the Greenhouse Effect and reducing the chance that the biome where Polar Bears live would be changed to the point where the bears wouldn't be able to live.

Still, I looked at that sign and thought "Polar Bears wouldn't probably thank me, they're more likely to eat me or maul me."

We do need to be mindful of our environment, but we need to live with it, not above it. Polar Bears are important not because we should feel guilty for the fact that our impact on our planet has endangered their well being, but they are important because if the biosphere changes too much with the loss of creatures like the Polar Bear, we will suffer as a result.
